when i had my alfa, i was told to get a cat1 alarm as it would bring the insurance cost down.

I spent lots of money ona decent toad alarm, and saved £15 on my insurance !!!

In my experience, it does not reduce the cost, but helps me get insured!

Have you tried getting the same quote say it's in the garage overnight, then not! It was £10 difference on a £550 policy - why do they even bother?

I just don't get insurance companies some times.
