Now that I'm able to pay for a PPP upgrade I thought it best to check what extra insurance costs I'm in for, only to be told that Churchill don't permit modificatios of any description.
Unless I was talking to a completely incompetent telesales girl, it looks as though I'm snookered.
Is there any Churchill policy holder out there who's managed to beat their system?

Tell Churchill where to stick their policy and go with Liverpool Victoria, probably save you some cash too.

Liverpool Victoria "don't ask the question" like other companies do. Not sure about other cars, but they're defo Scoob/mod friendly and didn't charge me a penny extra for mine. Gotta be over 30 though.

Did you tell them its a dealer-fitted "extra" as opposed to a mod in the simplest sense ? Did you also point out that there are many people on this BBS with declared mods legitimately insured with LV ? Did you tell them you found out about them on Scoobynet ? If what you say is correct, then they must have changed their policy - although it must have been in the last week because I insured with them two weeks ago with PPP fully declared no problem.

I just managed to catch Liverpool Victoria before their 4pm close, and spoke to a really well-informed bloke who's done me a nice quote to include PPP. He knew all about Scoobynet too!
