Have driven company cars since 17 so have never needed my own insurance.

Due to new company car system (I buy my own and insure it from Jan 04) I will be looking to insure a STI8 with PPP.

Does anyone know of any companies that take company cars in to account, as I've not had an accident whilst driving mine.

insurance co./brokers will (and push em a bit) give you some NCB

i drove a co. car for 12 years or so b4 taking out my own insurance got 7 years NCB based on that.

Try giving Scofields (now called Subaru Insured) a ring sorted iut for me

Ask for John Stringer 0870 770 6220

Good Luck

Talk to your transport department - mine wrote a letter for me
confirming I had driven for them for X years, this was accepted by my insurers, who gave me 5 years NCB

alan

p.s. the insurers where Royal Sun Alliance
(now known as More Than)

Same as above. Can't remember which insurance company though. Might have been Norwich Union or Privellege.

If you are trying websites to get an idea of the cost, when they ask how many years no-claims you have, put in the number of years that your transport department will provide a letter confirming. You won't be able to buy on line, but a phone call to the insurer with the best price should get you the discount.

You'll need the letter from whoever runs your vehicle fleet, though.

Did the same thing myself about 18 months ago. No problems at all with any insurer that I approached accepting company driving experience. I went with Direct Line.
