Hmmm, Feel panic setting in, as I have a Turbo Wagon insured with them. Don't remember any problems like that though but I will be checking my documents as soon as I get home !!!

Having just read this, I panicked as I'm picking up a 00MY turbo Wagon tomorrow and am currently insured with LV, so I thought I'd phone them to try and put it on risk. After all the usual questions reg number, model etc the girl on the phone said, is that 4 or 5 door, sir? Imagine how I felt when she said oh BTW at renewal that'll be about £450 Moral - don't believe all you read

i gave up on them when my renewal came up. They wouldnt insure my STi5 Type RA Limited as it didnt exist on their list, despite me telling them what it was and them having 22B's etc listed. Total madness.

I'm slightly concerned as I rung them up to say I've had the PPP fitted this week and they said the premium hasnt changed on my 4 door WRX. They never asked me when it was new if it was modded but the person I spoke to was adamant that there was no additional premium to pay.

Now I need to get that in writing from them.

i am insured with them, and have had slightly more helpful people on the phone by the sound of it.

When I was considering buying, I got quotes on 4 dr WRX, 4 dr WRX Sti, UK 4dr turbo, and UK 5 dr turbo - all of which are on their system. The 5 dr WRX was not there (the old one anyway - i'm sure the new one, i.e. the UK one, will be.

They told me that as it's not on their system they couldn't insure it - though by no means did the girl I spoke to try to deny it's existence - lmao !

As long as you have told them the correct model, and they have OK'd it, there will be no probs with insurance - i'm sure no-one here is stupid enough to mistake their WRX import for a UK 5 dr.

They are cheap too

Thumbs up

Checked my policy tonight, It only has Reg No and Subaru Impreza 2000 awd
Nothing to say 4 or 5 door so presume as they quoted me it must be on their system (UK though)

Steve what model is it that you have insured with them? Oh and when your new documents come through (if they havent already) please let me know if there was any reference to the PPP. The girl I spoke to at L&V said that this information might not appear, in which case they could turn round to me and say "oh you didnt tell us it was PPP'd - insurance void". :/

Third Scoob insured with them had no problems & admin seems efficient. e.g. Pulled for speeding, renewal came through with it listed.

They don't seem too concerned about mods at quotation time. They ask for no detailed info and the policy doc simply lists -
"exhaust modification & brake modification".

So my concern would not be over void insurance. But if someone with a 10 grand Scoob spent 5k on engine/suspension if it "dissapeared" would a settlement figure be at std market value or include the mods?
