Just got an insurance quote for my MY93 WRX from Liverpool Victoria. They didnt want to know about any modifications, security devices or anything else, just a brief driver histroy. Cheapest quote prior to them was £754 with mods declared. They wanted £585.32 including the wife on the policy!! And they said i could MOD the car as much as i liked without it affecting my premium!! Now thats a good deal. if your reinsuring give them a call!!

Echo that - I just swapped to them from A Flux and it came down from £925 to £740 - so I was well impressed. Business usage is thrown in, mods no problem (none yet, but planning already), and automatically cover courtesy cars, great!

I only called them after all the good things I heard on this board, so Thanks Guys :-).

James.

4yr pncb, 1 crash back in april my fault, £1050 from L+V covering all mods on the car now and any future mods too on my import WRX.
£1090 for a standard car from Tescos no mods allowed.

Think I'm going to be giving my cash to L+V this term.

They wont insure my partner - who was 29 - they would only insure me cos I'm over 30

They said if I had a crash that they would repair to the modded state - just had to provide piccies - receipts to prove it

Couldnt get in writing so probably a scam as was the number of years no claims - I have over 10 yrs - but as I could only get a letter from my previous insurer - Axa for 7 years (they originally gave me the standard 4) then LV would only insure me with 7 years - which cost an extra £100... they said that if I tried to insure with their max of 9 then my insurance would be invalid in the event of the claim as I could not prove that I had 9 yrs as they go by the Insurers letter only - despite the fact I can show that I've had say 7 years for the last 5 years!

Hey though still cheaper than A Plan - the only other ones that would insure me through Axa for a highly modded car!

Tried L+V but it seems that you need to be over 30 for group 20 cars, eg. new STI.
