Question

Anybody any guidance as to whether or not a HKS SSQV is a performance increasing modifictaion and whether it will affect my policy?

Last time I told them bout exhaust mod they charged me £300 more!!!

They ask whether it increases the performance and if it does they wack on 10% onto the price!!!

All views appreciated.

Tell them.....

Dv does effect performance, especially uprated d/v's allow you to hold more boost

Told them about my dump valve which I`m having on my STI8 and they haven`t put up the prem. Although that want another £300 odd quid for PPP. Also putting up excesses. One woman told me the other day at Tesco`s that they wanted £600 for the PPP, so I phoned again and asked someone else they said £300

TB:

The smallest bhp increase they can quote you on is upto 10% which increases the premium by 10% (over £200! extra).

Me therefore think that as far as insurance goes it does not increase performance. No BHP gains anyway.
