Its going to be your best bet. You will probably need a tracker though. Check out the security forum. I drove to Birmingham to get Dr Clifford to sort out my alarm and tracker for a very good price

With Tesco they dont except the tracker retrieve anymore so you need atleast Tracker Monitor. If you live close to a dealer, see if he can sort you out as hey are £450 + £99 yearly or a one off £300 for the lifetime of the vehicle. Thats why i drove to Dr Clifford, he sorted me out a damn good deal on the tracker and so i ust got the tracker and alarm done there

Question

Hmmmm id check the Avantguard4 before you get it fitted as i dont think it is a cat1 alarm, a concept 500 is though and that will meet your insurance co's approval

Red face

You may have some problems with the 600 as the wireless immobiliser doesnt work too well as classic STi's and WRX's are very noisy electrically.... its best to speak to a clifford dealer before you have one fitted to see what they say.
If you get the go ahead from the dealer though, these are a very good alarm (even the 500 is, the only difference is no wireless immobiliser).
