My cheapeast quote (with a written off Impreza Sport and 6 points for motorway speeding, aged 22) had been £2200 for a UK-spec 2000 Turbo.
Egg gave me the same for £1400 (less 10% for using egg card) and still 'only' £1800 with alloy wheels and sports exhaust.
