Cool

Tesco. They did my MY01 with Prodrive mods (suspension, PPP, 18" OZ wheels) for £550 fully comp, £100 excess. The nearest offer from elsewhere was £795, and the best after that £1050.

Try them

Just had two quotes today, m/24/5years ncb, magnex, k&n.

GreenLight 01277 263030 =£941. i've got to ring this one back to see if it protects the no claims.

Barclaycard 0870 900 0 095 =£1058. Ring last, they will beat your renewal quote from y present company.

Toplad,
The annoying thing about insurance is age and location in the country.
I pay just over 1k for my MY00 turbo with PPP, alloys, brake upgrade and scoobymania downpipe, that was somewhat cheaper than the renewal quote i got back off direct line (300 quid more and a higher excess! ) also im 33 with full ncb, no points etc and a high crime rated area (even though the car has never been touched ) but some insurance co's will only ever touch you if your over 30, live in a good area, have a tracking device fitted etc, otherwise the 1k seems quite reasonable depending on age (under 25 its prob a bargain!) but you never said how old??

Hi
I'm 32 and have 10 claim free years. A lot of places I have tried won't touch me unless the scoob is fitted with a Tracker. The best place I have found is the tsb at £600 Fullly Comp with no claims protection. Do all insurance companies insure modified scoobs, and if so how much extra for induction kit 17 inch wheels etc.By the way thanks for the advice lads

Cool

Privilege aka direct line the premium goes up dependant on performance increase in 10% bands so in my mind untill i go ott i'm guna b in 10% band & if i kill the car i like 2 c em take it on a rolling road But will of course tell em all mods i have/will do just claim a lowly performance increase With only 6 months or so left on premium i was told it's about a tun or less increase although as a 25 year old with 2 years no claims & clean license with garaged low risk area with the cunning security devices it isn't that large when compared with the £1500 premium i payed for this year (although i was 24 when taken out)
So if i was u i wood think about a tracker as yer 1st mod it aint that dear, saves u loads on insurance & means u can hopefully stop any tea leaves
