4 year old Citreon Xantia TD is £21/month more expensive than a 2 year old Scooby?!
#1
I've part-ex'd the Scooby, and until my new Golf 150PD arrives in August, I am planning to borrow my brother's R-reg Citreon Xantia TD.
Scooby was collected this morning , so I phoned Tesco to change the car, and they tell me that because I don't own the Citreon, they can only insure it as an additional, temporary vehicle on my existing policy. So, my insurance is going to go up by £21/month
My insurance runs out mid-August, so I was going to shop round for cover on the Golf. I guess I could cancel my current insurance and start shopping round now, based on runnning the Citreon for 2.5 months before going to the Golf.
Any thoughts on what the best way forward might be?
Cheers
Tim
