Default Quick Questions. HU install

Do I need to disconnect the battery to put in my 4400bt in place of the standard HU?

What harness do I need and aerial connector? Part numbers?

Will disconnecting the battery cause any problems?

i would disconnect the battery, assuming you have a newage car you just need an iso to pioneer connector and it should plug straight in without problems as will the aerial

just take off the negative and it will be fine. only thing i found was the radio reception was poor when i fitted a pioneer head unit.
you need to link the 12v accesory wire from the headunit to the white wire on the cars loom, this powers the rear window aerial amplifier.

As above. disconnecting the battery does no harm. I sometimes do it on customer's cars only if they say it's okay to do so when fitting parrot kit's or ICE installs etc.

I know the classic need's a ISO lead (Incartec..Look up the impreza and there you go Pn: 20-135) if i remember correctly.

It's simple to fit . Just use the brackets of the original HU on the pioneer cage and it's a piece of p***

Do you have to connect the white wire? I have a bugeye UK model and my radio reception seems fine.

TBH I don't even remember any free wires - I just used the ISO block it comes with
