Well after a while at lookin at double dins for my newage sti. ive settled on the pioneer 2400avh-bt, after a few teething issues i finally got the unit fitted, however i dont know if others have had the problem where the actual radio is a load of crap now. not as clear, did the standard kenwood unit have some kind of radio booster or summit? The car doesnt have an aerial on show (if that makes a difference). any help much appreciated

you need to connect the blue wire on the stereo (the amp 12v feed) to the white wire on the cars loom this powers the radio amplifier and will make the radio work again

Cheers for info on those two wires tommy. radio is now perfect ,
@ peter, with this headunit r are you able to upload your own background image? when you go to the display settings it gives a choice of bout 6 backgrounds but it also has like a non highlighted option logo of like a camera, pictures etc but it doesnt let you select it, any info on this would be great
