Default Recommend me a good double din please

As above show us what you have and recommend me a good unit preferably with big screen, USB port etc etc. Not bothered about sat nav although kids would love to watch peppa pig on it

Cheers

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT Automotive GPS Receiver

This is the model I have,
just a bit different, but still a fantastic bit of kit
it does all the same things
all works fantastic.
it was only taken out for this

car is just used on the track now
so no need for a music system
just something to control the Nos

All works perfect.

I will get it out and get some pics.
but it might be tomorrow before I do it

I will guarantee it, just for piece of mind.

you have to buy a reverse camera, but plugs straight in.

They come with a USB lead, then you just plug your iPhone etc into lead from your home charger etc to save buying a genuine lead at cost

wrong again, they need a lead with usb and mini jack on the newer models ,the older ones use usb and rca to get full ipod control.

if you just use usb you will get no sound.

i know this as i have owned a f910 bt which used the later method of connection and now a f940bt which uses minijack and usb

Not entirely the one I've got has a USB going into back of head unit and a female USB at other end, that's what they come with unless it's a front USB input.

the newer models the sound comes from mini jack and the older ones via rca cables.

Tbh it's not the touch screen model it's an older version, and you can control via head unit or device.

so your advising him on something you have no idea about, where as i am telling him about the unit as i have owned one and fitted it.

good one

the touch screen ones use both connections due to using album art etc.

Depends if it's iPhone or iPod they are going to use or other device for music is to which the cable is not needed unless its iPod with album art they want like you say.

For those with the reversing camera fitted, where have you mounted the camera? Have you any pics?
