Hi, does anyone make 6.5" adapters for the front doors of a classic? I know most people make them out of MDF/Plywood but from experience they eventually rot / become brittle.
I've seen places in the states that make them but looking to get some ASAP.
After 9yrs my old mdf ones gave up and turned to mush making a new set out of MDF today for my 6.5" speakers. Remeber mate they gotta have a slop from 8mm to 18mm to ensure you don't hit the door cards.
How'd you get it to slope like that? Fancy making me a pair? I'll pay obviously
You just need a steady hand ..... sorry mate, I just about finding the time to get mine done.

Its the only way I could fit my speakers in guys, check the depth of my speakers

No mate, just some old shoulder/elbow pads out of an old body armour shirt
Only fitted to ensure a snug fit between the MDF and the door
BTW, now wonder you need to slope it, I'm using 18mm MDF and it's fine but my speakers aren't that deep - plenty of spare MDF here if you want to double up or go for something thinner
