Default 6.5" speaker adapters for classic

Hi, does anyone make 6.5" adapters for the front doors of a classic? I know most people make them out of MDF/Plywood but from experience they eventually rot / become brittle.

I've seen places in the states that make them but looking to get some ASAP.

Thanks in advance

Do you know if that would work on a classic though?

After 9yrs my old mdf ones gave up and turned to mush making a new set out of MDF today for my 6.5" speakers. Remeber mate they gotta have a slop from 8mm to 18mm to ensure you don't hit the door cards.

The slope is a classic thing I presume

My first ones turned to mush so the new ones were painted. No slope required for the newage doors

No mate, just some old shoulder/elbow pads out of an old body armour shirt

Only fitted to ensure a snug fit between the MDF and the door

BTW, now wonder you need to slope it, I'm using 18mm MDF and it's fine but my speakers aren't that deep - plenty of spare MDF here if you want to double up or go for something thinner

If you can wait a week or so I can knock you a pair up but they will be flat and not sloped
