Default I am confused!!!!!!!

Hi guys,
this may seem a bit silly but suppose an amps rating is as follows:

410 Watts RMS x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms
555 Watts RMS x 1 Channel @ 2 Ohms

how can the it be run on 2ohms? I am lost about it.

the 4 or 2 ohm is the resistance of the speaker coil. Lower resistance more than likely means thicker wire in the coil so can take more current.

Also means you may be able to run 2 subs in series instead of just 1 or instead of 2 in parallel at lower power. My old rockford fosgate could do this.

I opened my sub box and had a look at the sub and it has 4 connections. The diagram consist of 4 connectors, 2 positive and 2 negative.

2 separate connections (positive and negative) have 2 ohms written on them

and then 1 connection (positive and negative from the 2 ohms connectors) has 4 ohms written on it.

How would I connect the sub so it runs on 2ohms stable

I have an amp that is 2ohms stable
