what is this cable for and why isn't it connected to anything??

looking in my boot and on the left side speaker i have this cable, it goes nowhere, i've taken a pic of both ends, any ideas?

(there's nothing like that on the other speaker)

That's an earth cable that would come as apart of a kit to earth an amplifier in the boot mate,just undo the 8mm nut retaining it and take it off

thanks will do, i did see RCA cables laying in the boot so there once might have been an amplifier in there.

This reminds me of a mate a few years ago, in his vectra. He found an unknown cable and on tracing it through the car found bucket loads. Turned out his car was a cab before he got it lol. He wasnt happy.
