Double DIN headunit?
Hi folks! I have been thinking of treating myself to a new headunit. Mainly the reason because the standard impreza headunit looks so dated! I have searched but cant find the answers i'm looking for. Looking to spend around £200-£300. Would like a touchscreen but most important I want one that is ipod compatible. I have had a double DIN headunit fitted into a previous car and it was a bit of a pain to fit. I have an 07 Hawkeye so want one that fits good. Thanks, Lee.

These have had pretty good reviews and the for the money its good valve. I dont have one myself yet (still have the standard cassette/cd) but was looking one of these double din units.
When I come to change the head unit will also upgrade the speakers because the standard ones are completely pants.

I ve just done the same - However Ive treated myself to the Pioneer Avic 930BT - really good headunit still getting my head around all the things it can do - Does everything I need and finishes it off nicely. Defo worth a look but a larger stretch of the budget -

those xtrons and other chinese makes dont fit behind the centre panel without a bit of trimming... i know this personally as i had to pass up on the chance of getting an all-singing all-dancing unit for £150 off a mate

I have a 07 hawk, i went fo the Pioneer AVH-3300BT. Really one the best things i got for the car.
Good point's:
*Can choose red or green colours to match the oem look of the lights.
*Both my phones connected in like 10 secs ready to use handsfree
*SD card means 1000 of track no more cd
*IPOD connection on the front

Really ,That's where I bought my headunit from. Can't think of too many maybe Motormods, their based at the BP between Bishops Cleeve and Tewkesbury. There was one across the road from the railway station(next to the tyre place) but not sure if their still open.I guess there is always Harfrauds.
