does any one know what size speakers are in the doors on a 2002 impreza and what are a good upgrade replacement just not got a very good sound and i am a lover of a bit of music while driving cheers for the help

the speakers in Emma's bugeye are pants and so are the ones in my classic.

After talking with other lads we came to the conclusion that no replacements will give a decent sound without adding a sub in the boot so we got emma a cheap Fli-Trap 1000w sub/amp off ebay for £40 and changed the stereo.

The door speakers do the midrange/treble and the sub takes care of the bass. I went for the same thing in my classic and it works a treat.

you will need spacers if you replace them as the standard ones are very shallow, i think the fronts are 6.5 inches and rears 5.25 inches.
the spacers you need are front.

if you dont fit spacers the window will hit the speaker when it goes down

Careful which spacers you buy. The eBay UK seller items had to be modified, so then bought the proper ones from ebay US seller, and got stung for 15 quid customs tax on top!
