Mines in the spare wheel mounted on a 16.5" circle of MDF.
Jumps occasionally when going fast over small bumps, but is generally OK. If I bothered to put some decent dampening material between the board and the wheel wouldn't be as bad (not that it is bad, it's been there over a year ). Keeps the boot free as well.

Hi Steve,
I had my original Philips changer under the passenger seat, but it kept getting kicked by passengers sitting behind the seat.
I changed the headunit and changer to some Alpine stuff and since the Alpine 12-disc changer wouldn't fit under the seat I thought I'd try the spare wheel option .
It was well out of harms way, but kept on skipping even of the slightest bumps. Maybe the Alpine is more sensitive, but I decided to attach it to the back of the rear seat.
Since the seat backing's not solid, I had to get some of these rawplugs to hold it securely.
It's been great and hasn't skipped once, although you do loose a bit of boot space.
