Default Would you trust Halfords to fit Parrot Hands Free?

Hi All,

I am in Ruislip, North West London, and looking for someone to install a Parrot blue tooth hands free.

The nearest choice is Halfords, would you trust the saturdays jobs to install this in your scoob?

I am I being a snob in worrying about them or should I be very afraid

Cheers for any thoughts or recommendations.

Nick.

worrying over nothing cause they are all trained at fitting but really is the type of thing you can fit yourself if you can wire in a cd player then you can do one of these

I wouldn't trust them to fit a replacement bulb let alone a handsfree kit. They can't be that hard to fit yourself

OK, then, how hard is it to take out the standard radio? How do I go about that, do you need any special tools - sorry for the ICE newbie questions.

Cheers,
Nick

If it's a newage, pop the facia off with a flat blade screwdriver and then it's six cross head screws to remove the stereo cage - simple as that

Open the cup holder and you can get you fingers in there, just give it a good yank and you'll be fine. Nothing to unscrew on the facia unless you want to remove the cup holder

you will need a subaru sot lead because the subaru radio is not on iso and the parrot is,put the mic on the top of the drivers a post, run the wire to the removed radio area, you will have to swap the red and orange wires via the fuses on the parrot kit or the kit will not hold its memory!after that its all plug and play but the sot lead will need earthing because the subaru radio earths through the thick black wire onto the cage of the radio and stick the screen where you want it.

depends on who they have working for them, I wouldn't let any part timer touch my car but when I worked there (many years ago *cough*) there were a couple of guys who really knew they're stuff

try a local car audio place, or someone from the yellow pages, its a very simple job, which you can do yourself, but if your not up to the job, try the above, avoid halfords.

I all depends who the fitter they have in is - generally I wouldn't let them near my car but my last head unit was fitted by them as the fitter was ex-huets car audio!
