Current system:

Impreza GT MY98
MBQuart DSC216 front (fitted into standart places in front doors on MDF rings)
Lanzar VB69.3 rear
all powered by Clarion 6575Rz head unit (4x45)

Lanzar speakers seem to be more sensitive than MB Quart and therefore the fader is usually slightly shifted forward

I'm going to upgrade the system by installing 10" sub and 4-channel amp (Crunch V4004). The idea is to use the amp for feeding front speakers (2 channels) and sub (2 channels), while rear Lanzar speakers will be powered by head unit. Since each Lanzar speaker provides optional separate feeding for woofer and midrange+tweeter, I'm going to use all four channels of head unit to power rear speakers eliminating passive crossovers.
Please, advise pro and contras. Am I crazy or not?
Thanks
Igor

1. you want little power to the rear speakers so might not gain with imaging if you use all the headunit's power.
2. you need some kind of active or passive crossover to protect the tweeter or it will FRY in a few seconds of full range.
