Just a quick tip/idea.....
* Get a length of square dowling, long enough to fit along the front of your sub box. (About 20mmx20mm thick should do)
* Ask your local ICE retailer for a piece of thin sub-box material, if they have cut offs/leftovers. Cover the dowling in the material. (This is just for cosmetic purposes, thus not essential)
* Line the dowling accross/against the front of your sub-box, and drill 4-5 one-inch screws horizontally through the dowling and into the box. Thus attaching them to each other.
* Then drill 4-5 one-inch bolts vertically down through the dowling, the boot carpet and into the wooden spare wheel cover.
* The bolts actually need to come from below-upwards, so remove dowling from sub-box and take box back out of boot. (You needed to attach these to start off with to ensure bolt holes were in the right place!). You should now find it easier to push bolts up from under the SW cover and through the dowling. Screw on nuts.
* Re-attach sub-box to the now floor mounted dowling et voila!
I would advise you do the same along/partly along one side too, it doesn't take very long, and should be fairly safe, particularly when compared to bungee straps
If you get the bolts the right length and the dowling covered then nice chrome-like nuts can look quite trick as an added bonus.
Hope this makes sense, I'll probably be doing this for someone in a week or two, so will take pics to help explain better
