Question

I have just purchased Infinity 605cs to install in the front. I soldered on some thicker wire to the tweeters but I can't remember which was positive and which was negative for wiring upto the crossover. The question is does this matter or am I going to screw up the tweeters as soon as I apply power? Is there any way of finding out which is the positive and which is the negative.

Cheers

Ed

You won't screw anything up by getting them round the wrong - it just might sound a little odd! Then change'em round again!

I *think* +'ve usually has a larger spade connector than -'ve ie the bit you soldered the wire on to. Not really noticed if this is the case on tweeters specifically.

You won't shaft 'em, you just may find it sounds less than optimum. It's worth experimenting to check that he phasing is best for your car and positioning before soldering.
