Looking for cheap fix. Change headunit or speakers?
The standard headunit and seapkers in my WRX 54 plate are exactly that. Sounds similar to the system i used to have in my 1989 Fiesta, lol.
Ive just bought the car and still feeling the pinch from the initial purchase, but was wondering if I could get some improvement in sound quality by upgrading either speakers or headunit. Not looking to win any sound offs.
Will changing the speakers alone make an improvement? or does the poor quality come from the headunit?
Cheers!

poor quality can come from both i would replace the speakers first the factory head units come pre eq'ed for the car this is why jl (clean sweep)sell a module that removes the eq and gives you a clean rca output from the speakers audio control and alto also do similar units.
then move on to the head unit if still sounds ****e
