Default OM Adaptor....I'm confused!

I have got a new single DIN stereo to fit, and bought the Autoleads adaptor (PC2-44-4).

Now, I presumed this would be all I needed?

There is a wiring harness with the Sony stereo, which obviously fits in the back of the stereo, but the Autoleads one doesn't plug in to the sony wiring harness or the stereo.

What am I missing?

This is a pic.

The sony wiring harness has been cut in places, and rejoined. But some original wiring is still in both sides of the plugs if that makes sense. The autoleads harness is on the left by the way.

The two ends ffrom the stereo go side by side into the black end of the Autoleads plug. Then I presume if you have the right bit of kit, the other end goes into the subaru harness, although mine didn't look like that (MY00)

LOL, I cant believe I didn't think of doing that. Thanks a lot mate!!

I bought "AUTOLEADS Subaru ISO Adaptor Lead PC2-44-4" Thought this was the right one?

Also, from the Sony wiring harness, there are two 'spare' wires flapping about. One says "ATT" on it, and the other says "AMP REM MAX 0.3A". Any ideas what they are for?

Thanks a lot
Chris

Sounds right.
The other spare wires are usually for wiring a Subwoofer and/or Amplifier. Not something I've done, or will TBH. Just plug it in as it is, if it works you're fine.
Sometimes the red and yellow wires needs swapping round on the stereo. This is to allow you to have the stero on a permanent live, or ignition. Test it by taking the keys out the ignition, and trying to turn the stereo on. If it works, its on permanent live, if you don't want it, swap the yellow and red. They will have bullet connectors for doing this.

Chris
ATT is for 'attenuating' used for mobile phones. when you recieve a call through a wired car kit, the stereo attenuates the sound so you can take the call and the sound through the stereo ressumes when the call ends.
AMP REM MAX 0.3A is for switching on your amp when the stereo is turned on.
