Default no power to the head unit

Iv read so many of these now but cant seem to find what im after sorry,so here goes.
I had the battery changed on my bugeye wrx 2001 wagon and now the standard head unit cassett/cd player isnt working. It seems to have no power going to it at all. Iv look at the fuses, well the ones i know of. Some under the bonnnet near the battery itself and the ones by my right knee whilst in the drivers seat. Non seem to be blown, not that i know which one is for the head unit. I then after doing some reading went in search of a fuse behind the head unit but after removing it was unable to find one. Everything else in the car seems to be working fine ie interior lights etc. I also phoned my local dealer incase i was needing a code to unlock it but was informed there isnt one for my unit as it has the little piece you can disconnect and take with you for security.
sorry if that went on a bit, any help would be gratful cheers

thanks for the reply
i took the unit out again and with a home made light bold and wire etc tried to see if there was any power going to the radio(i think thats what u ment)but to be honest i couldnt work it out there was just loads of wires going into a connector,i took an educated guess at what i thought was the live but had no luck, any clues to where this seperate fuse could be.might have to try and borrow a amp meter thingy from someone.

somewhere on the front of the stereo should be a reset button. take a small precision screwdriver or paperclip and press it in.

That should sort it but you may have to re program the presets

Where are you from (roughly) - if you are local(ish) I'll take a look for you
