Default Alpine underseat Sub - Any good??

Thinking of trying out an Alpine underseat powered Sub as don`t want to use up boot space & start hacking out air holes etc with boot installation!
Has anyone got one & do they fit under the passenger seat ok??

Would be interested to know if they sound any good compared to boot sub systems ??

Many thanks!

Hi I have 2 fitted to MY03 STi. I have 1 under each seat as I didnt want to lose the boot. There is no loss of foot room and they tuck under nicely, make sure you mount them well I used velcro fastners which seem to be holding well.
They are pretty good and lift the bass in the car nicely.
Obviously not as effective a s a pair of 12s in the boot but I wanted a descent set up without losing half the boot and the additional weight. They seem to be pretty well regarded on here by quite a few people aswell.
Hope that helps

Anyone fitted these under the seat of a Classic? I'm pretty sure there's a fair bit less room under Classic seats.

All the wiring you need is in the box including the battery leads, only thing you need is an RCA.

Bit late but I have the Alpine fitted under my passenger seat. Sounds great. It does restrict seat movement to about half forward from full back. The seats dip where your ar$e sits, so it fits under sweetly when they are full back, but as it come forward it fouls. Had to wrap the rear edge with a bit of foam from the misus pilates matress (zip ties) to protect it from scratching, but its fine otherwise. oh, and placed like this you don't need to mount it to the floor, so it can be removed with the removal of the wiring connector only if you need to move the seat fully forward. Piece of cake.

You have to go to the battery for the power feed, and earth can be taken from the seat belt bolts with a bit of scratcing back to bare metal. As other posters have mentioned, there is an a/c grommett on the passengers side and the supplied cable is more than enough to get to the seat. I found it best to remove the glove box, pull the caprets right down, then reach high up behind to find the innards. Screw driver through the rubber is the best way.
