Tried a lens cleaner - would not 'see' it

Not sure if this helps, but on the side of the changer there is a setting for verticle or horizontal mounting. check to make sure it is in the right position as you have mounted it. Failing that have you tried another Kenwood changer. I presume you have a Kenwood head unit as I was once told that changers are only compatable with a head unit of the same make.Hope that helps.

BUGGER!!!
looks like the lazer has gone.
Quoted £ 100+ VAT to get it repaired with a 3 month warranty - 3 months, sod that!

As far as i am aware the lazer swop is straight forward enough (was in a PS1 and an old CD player of mine)

Anyone know where i can get a Kenwood Lazer assembly from???

Wink

try these (TecLogic), I bought a Kenwood changer (kdc c717) from them about 2 years ago, no problems...

Check out the mail order sections in the back of most car mags as they seem to be cheaper than most dealers.
