Default Reversing Camera fitted

Fitted my reversing camera today and i must say a big THANK YOU to Tissy from the ESC for the camera & bracket which fitted perfectly
The bracket wasn't to hard to fit once you get your hand behind the bumper you've got quite a bit of room to fit it

Camera & bracket fitted together before fitting

What a lovely fit

And again

In Action, ignore the cutout in the surround as i'm waiting for a new one

I found a nice large blanking grommet also on the rear off-side, just below the rear light clusters. You have to remove the carpet trim a little to see it though.

Andy, i also sent you an email.

I could still have a go Phil, but it may take more than a standard philips screw driver which i originally had with me not anticipating a bloody great bar of metal !!

I'm happy to meet if that helps and we'll have another go with the right tools this time.

Let me know mate.

Hi,

I noticed you have a kenwood DNX 7200. I am thinking of getting one of these and was wondering what do you think of it and if it is easy to install? Do you have any installation instructions???

cheers

It's a very nice piece of kit, just about does everything you should need , i did modify the mounting brackets a little so it was flush with the dash surround, theres a few more pics of the headunit in the link below

Well mine is booked into Pulse on Friday

I have had to give up with the bracket Steve made (i'll return it Steve) the Tow Bar made it impossible to get to

So thanks to the guys at work they sculptured a nice piece of softwood to the contours of the inside of the bumber and then sealed in white and then stuck in place with gripfill
24 hours latter a perfect place to screw the camera to

Roll on Friday

Did they put the angle spacers on, if not i have a couple of spares where you can alter the elevation angle of the camera.

Take it it is fitted to the reverse gear ? Any pics ?

Are you able to 'flip' the image, so that its similar to what you see in your rear-view mirror? The reason that I ask, is that my new lorry has a conventional image and Im struggling to use it as much as the old one, which could be inverted.

If so then its just like a rear view mirror, vehicles are on the logical side of the screen and the registration numbers are reversed...

Yup, the image is inverted, ie just like looking through a rear view mirror with index plates reversed.

Hope this helps.

If you mean the carbon surround around my headunit then you can't get it on it's own as it's a kit from Subaru
