Just ordered the above mentioned unit for my sti8.
Does anyone have o ne of these and can give me some feedback.
Thought it looked good in the advert for the latest issue of Banzai.

Looks good but has features id never use and doesnt have featurs that Id want, liek removable fascia and video playback, etc...

I'm getting the DPX701-U unit.

Now, if mine is anything to go by, good luck in getting it.
Seems that Kenwood have made a ***** up with supply of the units.

Anyway, I think its a good piece of kit. Good choice!

yes i know, just wanted to know if anyone had any views on it. i would have liked one with dvd etc but the performance aspect of the car is what interests me and i have had dvd units before and never played a dvd in tham!

Have you been given a delivery date yet?
It's taken me probably near 2 months and it still hasn't arrived from Kenwood.

Luckily a guy on here had bought one which was never fitted, isn't required anymore and therefore now in my possession to be fitted later this week.

As I said, good luck with getting the unit.
I've also ordered the bluetooth unit from kenwood, but alas its still held back too. Product was released in March, but as of now they've still not shipped any.

We'll I actually fitted mine on Tuesday night - easy enough to do aswell.

Quite impressed, only thing I'd say is that its a bit complicated to setup/use at first - so many options.

But overall its very good, sound quality is superb.

i don't think that the sound quality is much better. maybe i need to get the standard speakers replaced!

the standard speakers in the impreza are made from paper,they are utter tish

all round alpine setup in mine ( tv headunit ,dvd changer ,speakers ,x-overs tweeters ,amp and sub) the sound quality is awesome and cost me just over five hundred quid in total!

Geoff,

I had a local company replace mine, they were replaced with Kenwood components. Can't remember which, but they were about £130 fitted.

The unit I have is the DPX701U and the quality it spot on.
