I want to change my 03 STI head unit for something better, including speakers. Something better and louder but not unnescesarily, ear deafening, loud as f**k.
Something like a Kenwood / pioneer HU. How much to get the HU and bit to fill in the empty gap in the console, and is it easy enough to do myself ?

I went for an Alpine HU £160 and an Autoleads Volvo V70/Sub Forrester Storrage pocket £10 and a set of JL Audio Components £80 and it now sounds great.

So about £250 wil do you fine.
