Default Sound Deadening Material

I have used Dynamat on front dorrs but want to stop some of the vibration in the boot.

Has anyone used some of the cheaper materials like what is available on e-bay or is Dynamat the only way to go?

Cheers

Dynamat Extreme is the best stuff and it's what I would use. Some people recommend a bitumen tape like this - http://www.eabassoc.co.uk/Flashing%20Tape.htm . I've never tried it so can't say either way.

Cheers Gary,

I expected that Dynamat was the only way to go tbh but hoped there may be a cheaper option.

Anyone insulated the boot space? Could you advise what I need to do / where to put this stuff or is it a case of the more the better! i.e. cover all inside boot.

Cheers

These guys do sound deadening kits for boots:

Don't know how the cost compares to doing the whole boot with Dynamat though.

Noisekiller gets my vote. I've just it in the last 2 scoobs and my new car, it's good, it's not bitumen based, it's foil backed, it sticks... And it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

I've looked at that before, it isn't bitumen/rubber based and so doesn't really have the stiffness to stop a panel vibrating.
