CDs stuck in autochanger
Hello, my girlfriends Pioneer headunit went kaput a while ago and her Dad put the original stereo back in. What I would like to know is, is there away to get the disc magazine out without applying power to the autochanger. It's a pioneer autochanger as well. I don't know exact model numbers yet as I won't be home for a bit.
Thanks Jamie

Hi Jamie,
Think you would have to power the unit up to remove the CD's, could you not take the unit to you local ICE store and kindly ask them if they could connect it to a Pionner H/U so you can remove the discs, OR have a look inside the changer to see if it would be possible to eject the cartridge manually??

As BigRed says, hook it up and eject it, or, if you're desperate and can't find a unit that'll help, whip the top off and try a manual eject. I had to do this to a Sony changer that got horribly confused after a battery change, and it's a little fiddly to work out what wheel turns first, then what comes next, but it's doable if you're stuck.
