Default Classic front speakers

I want to fit 6.5" Infinity speakers to my classic caloon, I have read that corsa spacers will work, will these do the job, if not where can I get some apart from making them myself.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Corsa...QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks

Ian

Fit Infinity 6000CS. They are shallow enough to fit into the original classic spacers (or at least they did in my MY00). The Corsa spacers are nasty and best avoided - if you go for deeper speakers make up MDF spacers instead.

make some mdf spacers for them, speakers work alot better when mounted to wood, andv put some sound deadening on the door behind thespacer kits avail from halfords etc.

What depth of mdf do I need. I'm abroad right now and just want to know what size to pick up rather than take the car apart, measure and then drive with the car in bits to B&Q

There's an excellent guide in the FAQ here, plus www.chiark.com/scooby for another excellent FAQ. I've heard 12mm and 24mm bandied about, so I guess 12mm would be fine. Can always glue two layers together! At least I hope 12mm is fine. That's what I've got for my classic!
