Question Disfunctional Alpine. Advice Please

Hi All

The wife started her car yesterday as normal and noticed nothing wrong with the Alpine Face off stereo at all.

Aerial Popped up and on went the music. It wasn't until she looked down to change channels that she noticed the screen is totally Blank!

No Display at all yet everything function wise is still fine.

Any Ideas ????

Have you removed and replaced the front a few times? Sounds like a poor connection.

Yeah I've tried that, I will try cleaning the connectors in the morning and see if that helps!

Using a pencil eraser (rubber!) gently is a good way to clean contacts such as these. Avoid touching them with your fingers, and remove the resultant bits of rubber with a tissue or something.

Either that or use cotton buds soaked in cleaning alcohol (tape head cleaning stuff would be good, drinking stuff would be bad and a waste!).

Hope you get it sorted!
