Default Clarion Stereo Upgrade

looking at the getting the above, front unit, 6 changer and speakers - is it worth it in respect of performance?, not over bothered about cost as it is a co. car.

The standard kit was always a pile of pooh. Not sure if it's got better in the last couple of years.

I love Clarion gear and have stuck with them for years. They are well known for their excellent tuners and cd decks. I would highly recommend them and you should notice a tremendous difference over the standard unit. But having said that if you are just going for a basic upgrade and aren't bothered about being too high end, I personally would just pick which ever brand is doing the best deals. Halfords have some cracking deals on at the minute and there is always ebay.

I personally *wouldn't* have the factory fit stereo upgrade option. You can get more for the same money from any ICE retailer.

Totally agree with Chiark. If the company are going to pay for it as part of the lease agreement then fair enough, but if you are paying the difference out of your own pocket then i would buy aftermarket as the factory upgrade option will either be a low end unit or an outdated model that has been re-badged.
