Question Single DIN STi people - what you got in the hole?!

Im still struggling with this.

Have a classic STi (5) and put a single din Kenwood in. Ive tried Autoleads pocket which was a bag of crap and would never fit, and also their blanking plate which was far too big.

What have you got fitted?

My remaining options are the Forester DIN pocket - or a SECS unit

Help appreciated.

The forester din pocket is a good bet and believe it or not its cheaper than the autoleads crap??? Even from the main dealer?? I think its about £11.50 or something like that??

How does it fit, Mark?

Does it use brackets? Im tempted to just buy one, but this hole is becoming expensive

I know what you mean mate I tried all the avenues you have before the forester pocket!! It does look the best when fitted! You will have to make a bracket of some kind to secure it to your head unit or the cradle in the car?? The stereo securing brackets, the ones with several holes all the way along with rounded ends? These are quite good as they are strong yet easy to bend etc?? Hope that makes sense to you? I mean what im going on about??
