You cant as the door is a wet type. Ie damp.
Ive fitted my crossovers under the dash and put the tweeters near the footwell
LOOK:

Its the best place for imaging too.

Hope this helps.

Well I have fitted one of the Infinity 6500cs's and it doesn't sound as good as the crappy looking JVC 2 way that I took out!!,something must be wrong somewhere.

They are a bright sounding speaker and dont have much in the way of bass in a classic door.
I use mine with a sub, crossed over at 80hz.
Dont forget to use the -3db output to the tweeter, on the crossover.

I have used Corsa spacers which didn't fit too well, but I have redrilled the other one to hopefully get it to fit better and I have got some Dynamat now.If these little tweeks make any difference when I fit the passenger one I will refit the drivers one as well.I was hoping to get a good sound from the head unit but I might have to dig out my mighty Denon amp from the spare room, that should give the Infinity's a workout!

Oh yes I forgot to add they are running off a Phoenix Gold amp in my car.
You really need to run comps that way to get the best out of them.

Fitted mine BETWEEN the moisture barrier and the door card, they JUST fit. Fitted the tweets on the triangle of the door mirror.

PS does anyone know where I can get new grills for my tweets from, one has got damaged somehow!!!!

fitted infinitys in doors of MY99 and put crossovers at bottom back end of door using h/d velcro to hold them to inside of door panel, not damp, no problems, sounds great and dead easy!!

Thats exactly how I ended up doing it Graham,It was starting to get dark and I didn't fancy removing bits of the dash so I popped up to Focus and got some Velcro!! It seems to be working o.k.

Do the job properly and dont rush...
I put the tweeters down near the footwell for a reason... they are a bit bright and ott when placed on the mirror triangles.
Just trying to be helpful... I`ve got lots of experience doing this...
ah well

I fitted my tweeters behind the grill on the door handle and they sound fine to me,if you set up your head units mid and treble frequencies right it stops them sounding harsh.

you can always wrap the crossover up in a waterproof bag, just tape the bag up tightly around the wired end and all should be fine. Thats what i did and no problems so far.
