Phone Kits.
Anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced car phone kit? You can get a phone holder and a charger quite cheaply but as soon you through an aerial into the question you're talking £200.
Need an aerial with living in the lakes, and signals tend to be pretty weak - I do running in the national park and my mobile is virtually useless.

find out if your phone has an external aerial connection, lots of modern phones dont (including most new ericssons and nokias). My t68i doesnt nor does my p900, so allthough you can connect an aerial to the car kit it doesnt do much :-).
I would highly recommend going for a bluetooth car kit if you are spending
£200, they are very easy to fit, and then just get a cradle / charger and brodit mount. then when you change your phone you just change the cradle and not the whole thing.
next door neighbour is a nokia sales exec, they dont fit car kits in company cars anymore just a cradle and bluetooth headset. But i would probably go for a bluetooth car kit next time round as im not sure i could use a headset in the car.

most phone shops, or car stereo shops, I dont know what phone you have, but my ericsson t610 does have an aeriel socket, it's located behind a little cover on the back of the phone, also most nokia's have them too, but they are built in to the bottom of the phone, bluetooth kits are u/s if you need an aeriel lead as you say. if you ever go anywhere near manchester, a company called the sound studio do them, 0161-881-0674, and ask for martin.

I have a voucher for a fully fitted car kit including aerial and sound through the car speakers, important if you have a loud car.
It is the vodaphone premium service – its for a non intrusive kit (no holes) and they don’t even have to cut/crimp wires etc as it simply plugs into the radio loom.
You just phone the installation team and they come out and fit it in a place of your choice
It also uses the TH Bury kit which gives you changeable cradles so if you change your phone you don’t have to change the whole kit.
You don’t have to have a vodaphone as it works with any network. I paid £220+vat, but now don’t have the car it was going to be fitted in; make me an offer I can’t refuse

I was hoping to be able to buy 3 bits seperately quite cheaply and fit myself - cradle + charger + aerial.
thanks for the offer but I think you'll be wanting a lot more than I'm looking at paying.
