Rear Door Speakers MY04 Wagon WRX
Would like to replace the standard speakers in the back doors as they are cr@p. Can anyone suggest a straight replacement that would produce decent sound quality, I don't want to spend a lot of money doing it as I don't intend to take part in any sound offs I just want to be able to turn it up to a good volume without them farting.
names of suppliers would also be helpful, I intend to change them out myself, so, only looking for where to get two decent speakers.
Cheers...

the fronts are **** as are the rears - replacing the rears would be like throwing money in the bin.
you can prob get £50 for your HU unit on here and maybe something for the speakers to go toward new stuff
it all depends on exactly how much u do have to spend, but i wouldn't bother doing what you're thinking of doing.

I think you have lost the plot M8
The head unit is so bad, it is unbelievable how much better just replacing the head unit will make things.
For a cost of £150 for a new unit, it makes the original head unit sound as if it was worth £10.00
Don’t waist your money replacing the rear speakers, just turn them off.

There are NO straight replacements for the rear speakers.
Take my word for it.
Ignore anyone on here who talks about a "straight swap".
The metal mounts for the OEM speakers are TOTALLY BESPOKE, so no matter what you buy, you'll be making new ones from MDF or ply anyway.
Listen to the folks on here..... it isn't worth it. Forget the rears, get a better head unit (you scarcely need to spend over £100 to get 3-4x better sound than the OEM one) and some decent front speakers.
I did my rears..... never again. Total waste of time, effort & money.
