Decided to invest in a decent set of componet speakers for my MY2004 JDM STi. Was gonna start later in the week but decided to take the door card off today to have a bit of a look. Was expecting the main problem to be lack of depth for the midrange (as mentioned on here). Then I noticed a more obvious problem - THERE'S NO EXISTING TWEETER!!!!

I've traced the wires from the alleged mid and it just seems to go out of the door with all all the other door wires.

There's a 2 wire connector where the tweeter should be just in front of the door handle but nothing else.

I'm sure my UK MY2002 WRX had a tweeter. Is this just a JDM thing?

ANy help appreciated. Desperately.

i think the uk wrx's was an accessory but our uk sti's have them as standard

Thanx for the link. Been trying to find that. Yep it shows the tweeter and bracket missing from mine. Bo**ocks!!!

If, by any chance, anybody's taking their door card off on a car that has a tweeter and wants to take a picture of the bracket for me I'd be grateful. Ideally if you could also include the door handle as a reference point.
