Chaps,
Quick Q?

Just installed Infinity 6005 components in the car with the tweeters in the A pillars.
On low to medium volume the low and high frequencies are nicely balanced, but when the volume is increased it's all high end and no bass, haven't cranked it up all the way as I want to wear them in gently.

Will they start performing better in the lower ranges once they've bedded in or will I have to think about re-positioning the tweeters???

Infinitys are, in general, bright.

You will find that bass performance improves when things start bedding in...

Also, check phasing of the midbass drivers.

Do the 6005s have a -3DB setting on the crossover? That will help if it's unbearably bright ATM.

If you're only turning up the volume when driving, it's possible that road and mechanical noise inside the car is competing with the midbass speaker. Do they sound bright at high volumes when parked?

Vindaloo.

Cheers Fella's,

Yes, it's the newer type with the -3db setting on the crossover, I'll switch them over and wait and see how the main cones loosen up.

Cheers
