Cool

How about a project a month thread?????

Just a thought.......

maybe "Doorbuilds" that look good but simple to make. Simple, could take components or co-ax. With cutouts to take different speaker size...maybe 6-8 inches. "One build fits all type thing"

???

My project from today/tomorrow - build custom stealth rear shelf for MY02, together with Infinity 605s, then run them and the front doors off a new Phoenix Gold amp. Got the shelf finished and fitted, started on the wiring. Just need to do the rest of the wiring tomorrow, and we're away!

Good plan - go for it

Door builds now done, amp in... Sounds fecking awesome already. Slight EQ will help the image a little I feel, as the passenger side is slightly more on-axis than the drivers which is pulling stage to the left. But it's bloody good

Yep.

The ol horse has just been re-wired with a BYB 4" lift kit and 28" tires. Now have 14" of center clearance.

Complete new door build is next to fit the 8's in...MIG time!

Very nice work on the doors Nick...I think I know why the sound stage is off though. You're driving in the wrong side of the car...

Cheers Steve!

Had a quick play, and I think I've got the tweeter nearest me out of phase. Need to get the multimeter out and check that I've put the right bits on the right parts of the speakers.

It's all fun

Cheers,
Nick.

Thumbs up

Darn right it's fun!

I've done my time on the street...got everything but killed.Gave up HO for rock-crawling in the woods.*cough*still have a new, pickeled 500cid V8 in the shed just waiting...*cough*

The Legacy/Impreza AWD is useless here in Maine most of the time. They suck in snow and ice. This is why I don't know much about them. But tunes...gotta have em.

Is the sub in Nick?

Also...did you get the Phase Perfect tweeter/xover upgrade with your CDT's?

Looks as though you did...never heard the upgrade...

Just building the box... Gonna have to glass it up in places, which I didn't really want to do.

The components are running actively off the Continuum, so no x-overs. I've got the "deluxe" tweeters though. Sound good. Turned out it wasn't a phase issue, it was due to my seat position!!!! Sheesh, fun...
