door pod installs
#3
Will be putting pics of mine up today as I'm picking them up in a few hours. Made by maximum impact. I saw them "uncovered" at the weekend and they did look excellent.
I asked audioscape, and they wanted the original cards plus 400 quid + VAT to make a build. OK, they may be the dog's conkers but that struck me as a little excessive...
If you're thinking about this, it doesn't look tooooooo bad, but I really didn't feel up to doing it myself. You need to:
- take apart bottom half of door cards (remove melted plastic welds)
- Make rings for midbass driver and tweeter
- Work out a fixing method for above
- Make smooth profile, either smooth out of filler or fibreglass
- Vinyl the result
- Fit
Should be good - finger's crossed
