Question

Hi,

I Collected an STI 7 last week with the standard units in it. I'd like more bass as the standard units distort very easily ...

I have a thought ...
Is it worth trying to change the back speakers only for added warm bass and then the fronts with something that is clear & tight sounding to get a good balanced sound ... or doesn't it work like that?

Previously, I ran an old Clarion 7370 Head unit and a Rockfort amp powering a 12'' sub whilst running with the OEM speakers (plus two tweeters) in my old MY00 wagon - sounded PDG! My preferred music is Rock as opposed to dance - deep rumbling bass, not so punchy!

I'm not too keen on putting the sub in my new car - boot as opposed to 5th door restricts the space already.

Am I living in cloud cukoo land, or are there options?

Any comments gratefully received.

Thanks

Steve
