Hey all...i`ve got an alpine head unit and JBL sub and amp, and use the mp3 fuction, but the sound level and quality of the bass and overall volume levels are all over the place for each track, i try to get 192 quality as i`m downloading stuff, i use music match and nero to copy/burn cd`s......how can i level the quality of each or all the track on an mp3 cd???????????????????

thanks in advance!

not much use to you but I've found the same and I'm assuming the differences in levels are due to the original sources. I've had some tracks at 192kbps which sound like they've been recorded from the radio. I've also found some 128kbps tracks that sound brilliant.

Talking

Have a look on the net for a program called MP3 Gain
google will find it, its a smallish prog which normalises the volume.
You will have to reburn the mps cd though

Both Audiograbber and CDex can normalize as they read the track.
