Will these component speakers drop straight into an sti v7 or do i need to maker a spacer. Also the 605cse are £115, how are these different from the 60.5cs (£199)?

I think both speakers need roughly 53mm clearance, so you will need a spacer - you can make your own or you can get plastic ones from your local car audio shop. I think these two speakers come from different ranges (it is a little confusing to say the least) - so there are differences in power handling and frequency. Cost wise, I would shop around, MCS had the 605cs for £122 and the cheapest I've seen the 605cse is £73 a pair.

I'm having a pair of 605cs speakers fitted tomrrow and I know they will need a 12mm spacer.

chris, thanks 4 that.

I've had a pair of 605cs in my sti v3 and they were the dogs. But I've swop it for an sti v7 and was looking to buy some more 605cs components when i noticed that there appears to be two types. Anyhow, I bought some 605cs (£100) and I'm going to fit them tomorrow. There is a spacer that comes with them from what I remember.
