A friend of mine is coming over from the states next week.He has a kenwood 7" monitor LZ701W that he is thinking of selling to me. Would it be compatable with my existing setup KVTM700?
Any info would be appreciated as I don't want to waste my money if it won't work.
Cheers
Rich

You need the unit to support PAL signals if you want it to work over here. I know this from experience

It appears that the unit will take both NTSC and PAL as input, auto-switching between the two.

The excelon brochure on Carsound.com mentions auto switching so you should be safe.

Edworthy's, and other UK shops, sell 'em and say they're auto switching, so you should be in luck.

have a google search for lz-701w pal and you'll find there's loads of info out there.

If you don't want it, let me know how much he wants for it

Hope this helps,

Nick

If you mean the "auto-switching" bit, then that's built into the display if I'm reading the brochure right.

Rich, never done it myself mate, sorry. Some of the headrest mounting ones look like they come with a "container" that makes things a bit easier... Have a quick google for headrest lcd and see what you find, as I daresay someone will have put a page or two up about their DIY experiences.

Cheers,

Nick.
