Power down passenger side... (away from ecu) 150A Circuit Breaker on Strut under fuel filter.. RCA's down middle to the passenger seat (EQ Location) then on to the boot.. Speaker Wires down the relevant sides...

Doesnt really matter, just try and seperate them as much as possible..

(remote wire runs with power wire)

Power down the middle of the car.

Speakers down the passenger side.

On the MY01 there is a handy cable run that had enough space for the cables to clip in!

Did you need to remove the passenger seat to do any of this?

Hi Ian,

I recently stripped my MY99 for a new ICE install. I removed everything, from the fronts seats, rear seats and all the trim/kickplates to get full access to the runs. You don't need to remove the seats (although it does make things a bit easier), just the kickplates, centre console trim and the rear seat base is enough.

I've run the power cable down the passenger side, the RCA, changer, audio interrupt and remote turn-on leads down the centre console.

Under the kickplates is a white plastic cover (over the brake lines) and can easily accommodate additional cables (e.g. power, speaker, etc..)

As Stefan says, you don't NEED to remove seats, but I found it a lot easier and a lot less frustrating to do so, particularly when running cables down the centre. I think I only removed the back seat and passenger seat, and it just makes things a lot more friendly to work with

Right then, how do you go about removing the passenger seat? Will it just come off the sliders or does the seat and mount need to come off?

Check the FAQ, but you just need to undo 4 bolts... They're under plastic covers.

Yep, that's all you need to do. Pop off the plastic covers at the back of the runners, undo the 4 bolts and the whole seat will lift straight out.

I'd recommend either covering your centre console trim with an old duvet cover or removing it completely. It's also worth rolling down your passenger window and covering the door with another old duvet too.

This will stop the trim from getting any nasty scratches while you wrestle the seat out of the car.

I lifted the whole seat up, turned it on it's side (as much as I could), then rotated it (using the curve of the seat) base first out the door.

The drivers seat is a bit more of a burger since the steering wheel gets in the way, but with a little patience and care, the passengers will come straight out.

The kickplates are just held in with 4 plugs. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver (with the tip wrapped in a cloth) to prise them out. Then, undo the plastic plug in the passenger footwell holding the trim in-place and just lift it off.

Carefully unclip the carpet from the white plastic cover.

The cover is just held in with the two plastic screw-down clips, so just unscrew them and it should lift straight out.
