OK, my clarion CD player has gone pop. It was fitted tot he car when I got it, and I want another one. Without carrying it around with me can anyone identify this connector ?

It is stuffed behind the stereo, not connected to anything that I can see, and I have no idea if its in any way connected to anything like the speakers. At the moment it just hangs there...

is the connector I use at the moment, but I wondered what the other one is for. Where better to find out than the ICE forum

It looks like the plug that sits on the end of the cars own wiring harness used for the original head unit.

its just the multiplug the manufacturer has used for the standard head unit. you should be able to convert it to a standard ISO block (buy kits for about £10 from ICE dealers) so any other unit will connect in. if not just cut it off and rewire directly to the new unit.

Hmm,

Cannot see very well, but it looks like someone has cut / joined the wires from the original Subaru connector to put the Clarion unit in. You may have to do a bit of rewiring to get it to work as it should...
